Support Us

The support we receive from family and friends are vital gifts that benefit the children at the Canterbury Children's Center. We truly are grateful for every gift of time or money we receive. Our school’s proud history and success are largely due to such acts of generosity. All donations are tax-deductible.

CCC Scholarship Fund

The Canterbury Children’s Center Scholarship Fund was formed in the Spring of 1995 by the graduating class of third graders and their families. The purpose of the fund is to make it possible for any family to consider sending a child to the CCC, even if they do not have the financial means to pay the full cost of tuition.

Mission

It is the mission of the CCC Scholarship Fund to financially assist individual students of the Canterbury Children’s Center as need dictates consistent with the philosophy, purpose and goals contained in the Canterbury Children’s Center founders’ statement:

“It is our belief that children are better served academically, socially, and emotionally in a context of balance. To the extent we are able, within the bounds of those who seek us out, we set as a goal for each class an integrity built upon that balance, and a group of children whose skills, ability, potential and gender reflect the larger environment each will live in as students and adults.”

Finances

Ongoing revenue comes from annual contributions of parents and alumni, tax-deductible donations, repayment of past assistance from those families who are able and willing to do so, sale of t-shirts, note cards, tote bags and other merchandise, and special fund-raising events such as concerts. The total amount of financial assistance available each school year is limited by the past year’s income.

How to Apply

A family requesting financial assistance from the fund should complete a “Scholarship Request.” This form asks each family to consider the portion of the tuition that they feel able to contribute and indicate whether the requested assistance is needed to cover a short term gap, or is likely to be ongoing. Requests are submitted directly to the President of the Committee, and should be received by May 1 for full consideration.
